Craig Piercy speaks to change

ANS Executive Director/CEO Craig Piercy offered ANS members an update on Change Plan 2020 on February 24. If you missed the live webinar, you can visit the ANS Member Center to view it now.

“It’s been a busy and rapid-fire couple of months since the ANS Winter Meeting,” Piercy said as he kicked off the webinar. “Starting in the beginning of December we initiated a 60-day review of ANS operations. The goal was really to take a fresh look at what we’re doing and how we’re doing it to see if we could serve you better and do things more efficiently.”

Piercy provided updates on the status of the Change Plan, the staff organization chart, a coordinated headquarters response team for member inquiries (email AskAnything@ans.org), a planned Operations Center to improve communications and ANS’s visual representation to members and the public, and more. He also took questions from members that were moderated by John Starkey, ANS Director of Government Relations.

“What we’re trying to do here is build a new ANS operation that’s built around 21st-century technology and practices to essentially provide stronger science, better service for our members, and a louder voice to the public,” Piercy said.
