Assuming the world takes seriously the recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, U.S. nuclear exports could be worth between $1.3 trillion and $1.9 trillion over the next 30 years, according to a new report by market research and analysis firm UxC.

The report, prepared for the Nuclear Energy Institute, bases its projections on scenarios presented in the October 2018 IPCC report titled Global Warming of 1.5°C. UxC analyzes the types of reactor technologies that could be deployed in various regions through 2050 to keep global temperatures at no higher than 1.5°C above preindustrial levels.
