Meeting events: One registration fee includes access to both meetings, co-organized plenaries, speeches, technical sessions, and other events. Local tours and short workshops will be offered for a nominal additional fee. Jamie B. Coble, NPIC&HMIT general chair, and Michael D. Muhlheim, PSA general chair, spoke to these additional opportunities in their invitation letter: “These will allow attendees to enter mutually beneficial collaborations and ensure the cross-fertilization of methods, technologies, and ideas. Thus, you get 2x the number of technical sessions and 2x the number of attendees to renew old acquaintances and make new friends.”
NPIC&HMIT 2023: The NPIC&HMIT meeting is the thirteenth in a series organized by the American Nuclear Society’s Human Factors, Instrumentation, and Controls Division. This meeting is an excellent opportunity for professionals in nuclear instrumentation and control and human factors engineering to meet and exchange information with leaders in industry, government, and academia.
Meeting organizers welcome the submission of full-length technical papers, which should be no longer than 10 pages. Papers will be peer reviewed and, if accepted and presented at the meeting, will be included in the conference proceedings. Presentations will be scheduled for either podium or poster format at the discretion of the organizers.
PSA 2023: The 18th PSA meeting is a topical conference that serves as a worldwide forum for communication on risk- and safety-related issues, methods, applications, insights, policy, research, and regulation. Such traditional applications as nuclear reactor facilities, nonreactor installations, processing, decontamination, decommissioning, and storage will be addressed, as will nontraditional applications of probabilistic safety approaches.
Full papers should be no longer than 10 pages and describe new and significant work that is relevant to risk assessment and risk-informed decision making. Accepted papers that are presented at the meeting will appear in the final conference publication. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended manuscripts for publication in a special issue of ANS’s journal Nuclear Technology.
