NRC, FERC to discuss grid reliability, other issues

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will meet on January 25 to discuss grid reliability, operating reactors, advanced reactor activities, cybersecurity, and other topics.

The meeting continues a tradition of regular joint gatherings between the two agencies going back nearly two decades, except for a brief interruption during the pandemic.

Details: Staff from both agencies and the North American Electric Reliability Corp. will brief NRC and FERC commissioners at the meeting, which will be hosted by FERC at its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
