COP29 seeks volunteers for Nuclear Climate Initiative team
Nuclear advocates under 40 years of age can now apply for the opportunity to coordinate and execute the Nuclear for Climate (N4C) initiative leading up to COP29.
The European Nuclear Society/European Nuclear Society Young Generation Network and International Youth Nuclear Congress invite volunteers under 40 from around the world to work on the N4C campaign over a period of nine months. The team assembled for this N4C initiative will focus on crafting and implementing a two-week agenda for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Conference of Parties and other climate-related activities.
COP29 will be held Nov. 11–24, 2024, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
How does it work?
Applications are due March 10.
First-round interviews will be held March 18–24.
Selections will be made by March 31.
The team commitment runs nine months, from April 2024 through January 2025.
The average commitment time is expected to be three to four hours every week, with more- and less-busy periods throughout the year.
Who should apply? Preference for Delivery Team roles will be granted to applicants who have prior experience in leadership roles within nongovernmental organizations, the energy industry, or research institutes; and those who have previously attended clean energy conferences in any capacity.
